We are seeking a skilled Transplant Surgeon for a 21-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting May 21, 2026. This role primarily involves inpatient-only clinical responsibilities, managing an average of 8-12 patients daily, and participating in 24-hour weekend call, typically one weekend per month, without requiring on-site presence while on call. The Transplant Surgeon will also perform approximately 10-12 transplants monthly.
Responsibilities and Duties

Inpatient only clinical responsibilities
Call Schedule: one weekend month
Locums provider will not be required to remain on-site while on call
Average total inpatient census: 8-12
Average number of patients per day per provider: 8-12 with resident coverage
Average number of admissions per day: 0-3
Average number of admissions per night: 0-1
Number of Surgical cases per month: 10-12 transplants
Transplant Program performs 125-150 transplant per year
Full spectrum of support services available for transplant surgery providers and patients
