Located in Signal Hill, CA, AUHS is dedicated to diversity, outreach, and excellence in healthcare education.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position in Signal Hill, CA for an Assistant/Associate Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The role involves teaching in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, developing and delivering a comprehensive curriculum, advising and mentoring students, and conducting research in the pharmaceutical sciences. The successful candidate will engage actively in scholarship and service, contribute to the academic community, and play a role in accreditation and departmental activities to maintain academic excellence. Collaboration with faculty and staff is essential to support the university’s mission and vision.QualificationsExpertise in fields such as pharmacology, pharmaceutics, microbiology, immunology or related pharmaceutical sciences areasExperience in curriculum development, academic instruction, and student advisingProven ability to conduct scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journalsStrong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with a commitment to mentorship and collaborationPh.D. in Pharmacology, Microbiology / Immunology or related discipline; Pharm.D. with postgraduate training or equivalent experience will also be consideredDemonstrated experience in fostering inclusive and diverse learning environmentsExperience with accreditation processes and familiarity with ACPE standards (preferred but not required)***If you are interested in this position, please submit your CV to Dr. Islam (mislam@auhs.edu) for initial screening.
