Job ProfileWomen's Ministry at Berean serves the purpose of helping women connect with God, with others and with one's purpose providing community, ministering to the needs of and equipping them in their role as Christian women. In partnership with our ROOTED Small Group Ministry, Men's, Marriage and Care Ministries, this ministry provides a more specific/focused role in the discipleship process of Berean. This is a three-quarter-time position (32 hours) and reports to the Pastor of Adult Ministries.Job ResponsibilitiesEssential duties:A leader who cares for and communicates often and well with the needs of her ministryA capable teacher of God's WordStimulates the prayer and spiritual health of women of all ages and stagesLeads and values caring for both the churched and unchurchedRecruits, leads, and builds a multiplying leadership team through teaching, bible studies, prayer, and the planning of special gatheringsEquip and lead a team of small group leaders that connect with, challenge, and mentor women toward intentional "what's next" spiritual growthRepresents Berean's vision through campus activities and communicationsPlans, promotes and engages with Women's Ministry gatherings and retreatsLeads and oversees multi-generational women's mentoringOther duties:Partners with Adult Ministries of Small Groups, Men's, Marriage and Care Ministries in its mission to connect the church and home in impacting the younger generation.Unite with local outreach ministries for impact outside Bereans wallsKnowledge, skills, and abilitiesFaith-BasedA personal relationship with Jesus ChristEvidence of growing maturity as a disciple of ChristHumility, a servant leaderValues and leads in the rhythm of prayer in ministryExperienced in mentoring and multiplying others to mentorAgreement with Berean Baptist Church statement of faithA member of or actively pursuing membership at Berean Baptist ChurchCommitted to weekly attendance at Berean Baptist ChurchPhilosophical alignment with Berean's leadership and theologyEducationBachelors or advanced degreeProfessionalProfessional relational and interpersonal skillsCapable in oral and written communication skillsCasts vision for and represent Women's Ministry within and outside of BereanDemonstrated ability to lead a ministry, identify and equip volunteers, and coordinate effective studies and eventsWorks well with and appreciates team collaboration.Proven ability to problem-solve and make rational decisions; handle sensitive issues while maintaining confidentiality and trustA supportive presence who prioritizes staff chapel and staff gatheringsThe adeptness to work effectively with a variety of personalities, cultures, and multiple generationsAbility to budget and manage ministry expensesWork ConditionsPhysical CharacteristicsWorking in person with limited flexibility for remote workInvolves some light lifting, up to 20 pounds, and managing supplies for storageAbility to stand and walk around the building for several hours when facilitating or leadingHoursOffice hours are generally during weekdays.
