A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - Med Surg/n/nJob Details:/n• Work every other weekend schedule/n• Float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran/n• Care for pulmonary and medical surgical patients on 23-bed unit/n• Work with patients requiring bi-pap, trach care, and ventilated patients/n• Administer heparin drips and provide charge nurse responsibilities/n• 24 months of Med Surg experience required/n• Pulmonary patient care experience required/n• Experience with ventilated patients highly preferred/n• Charge experience required/n• Level I trauma experience highly preferred/n• Will accept first-time travelers if 2+ years Med Surg experience requirement is met/n• Must be able to start orientation on 4/13/n• EMR system: Epic/n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)/n• Iowa nursing license required (compact/multistate accepted)/n• Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required/n• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare organization operates multiple campus locations providing comprehensive medical services including Level I trauma care.
