IT Operations Engineer

Our client, a major entertainment/media firm located in NYC (Midtown), is looking to hire an IT Operations Engineer. This is a Full-Time position. The IT Operations Engineer role is integral part of the Global Technology Operations (GTO) team. The primary responsibilities of an IT Operations Engineer are to maintain servers, applications, software, and cloud systems.ResponsibilitiesWhile maintaining these systems, an IT Operations Engineer is expected to perform tasks such as:Optimize system performance by monitoring, troubleshooting issues, and scheduling upgrades to maintain a secure and reliable environmentSecure mission critical systems by establishing and enforcing policiesImplement and deploy changes to production, development, stage, and test environmentsEnsure that configuration and change management processes are documented accuratelyReview and respond to security incidentsProvide 3rd level support to ServiceDesk & Field Service techniciansKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESExperience working in an enterprise-level environmentStrong knowledge of Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Active DirectoryKnowledge of Cloud Computing (Azure and AWS)Experience with Microsoft High-Availability & SQL ClusteringExperience with Microsoft DFS, DNS, IIS,Experience with VMware vSphereExperience with Citrix Virtual Apps & DesktopsHighly proficient with PowerShell scriptingExperience working with enterprise monitoring systemsExcellent troubleshooting skillsStrong understanding of networking conceptsExperience with ITIL frameworks, and change management processesStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsHighly organized, motivated, and dedicatedIndustry-related certifications (MCITP, MCSE) a plusAvailability to work during emergencies, and scheduled afterhours and weekendsQUALIFICATIONS5+ years system administration experience with Windows operating systems2+ years system administration experience with Linux operating systems3+ years database administration experience with Microsoft SQL or Oracle3+ years system administration experience with Microsoft 365Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related equivalent education required.Certifications from Microsoft, Carbon Black, or VMware or related technology certifications are preferred.
