Line Cook - The River Room

This is a great opportunity for passionate, dedicated, confident team players who want to learn and work in a fun, professional environment. The River Room is open Tuesday-Saturday for lunch and dinner and is also responsible for many private events throughout the year, from weddings to golf tournaments and everything in between.Responsibilities* Prepare food according to recipe specifications and the Executive Chef's guidelines in a timely and efficient mannerQualificationsProficient knowledge of hot food preparation, stocks, sauces, vegetable cookery, and meat temperaturesPrevious experience required in a high-volume scratch kitchenExperience in sauté, grill, broil, steam, fry, and salad stationsKnowledge of knife skills and cooking terms is essentialKnowledge of and adherence to sanitation rules is requiredBenefitsIn person applications are welcome between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at 253 Gardeners Circle Suite 210 Kiawah Island, SC 29455.* Benefits are available to full-time employees after a waiting period and include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term and Long Term Disability, 401(k), Life Insurance, Accident Insurance, Telehealth, Health/ Dependent care spending account, wellness program and generous paid time off including 12 vacation days, 6 sick days and 9 paid holidays per year.
