Current Employees: If you are currently employed at any of the Universities of Wisconsin, log in to Workday to apply through the internal application process.Position Title:Assistant Professor of Health Sciences (Tenure Track) - MSPA ProgramJob Category:FacultyEmployment Type:RegularJob Profile:Assistant ProfessorJob Duties:Job Summary: This full-time faculty position, reporting to the Dean of Faculty and under the supervision of the Program Director, is responsible for the management and evaluation of the program's academic and clinical components.Responsibilities and Duties Accreditation: Assists the Program Director with the following: Maintain accreditation by coordinating the efforts of the PA Program to meet and/or exceed the ARC-PA Standards.Teaching: Instruct first year and second year students in the following: Physical Diagnosis Lab InstructorClinical Correlations InstructorProcedures InstructorLecturing in area of expertiseAdvising first year and second year studentsReviewing and grading master's projectsCurriculum: Review academic/clinical curricular content for appropriateness to PA practiceMonitor evaluation of learning outcomesCreate and review academic and clinical examsCommittee Service: Will participate on appropriate committees (as schedule allows) as requested by the Program Director.Participates in ARC-PA accreditation and program evaluation activities as deemed appropriate by the Program Director.Other: Other duties/leadership positions as assignedResponsibilities for general aspects of the PA Program and the Center of Health Sciences Participating in the admissions process including application review, interview and serving on the admissions committee.Participation in the developing, reviewing and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals, and competencies of the programParticipation in scholarly activities is encouraged (involvement in professional organizations, research, etc.)Participating in remedial instructionParticipating in the preparation of accreditation documents and participating in the self-study processServing on school-wide committee is encouragedParticipating in the recruitment effortSkills Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with frequent high levels of urgency or sensitivityMust be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environmentGood interpersonal skills are required, both written and oralComputer Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, OutlookKey Job Responsibilities:Department:Health Sciences Compensation:$120,000-$125,000/annually depending on qualifications and experience Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
