Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring that the unit meets quality of service and customer satisfaction. The incumbent will create a positive work environment and dining experience for guests, coaching, mentoring, and caring for staff.
Responsibilities
Meet or exceed budgets while focusing on cost of goods sold and EBITDA.
Manage all daily paperwork at the unit level, including sales reports, red book information, shift inventories and other necessary documentation to ensure profitability.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
Complete monthly unit inspections using the Unit Inspection form in the red book.
Order all food and supplies needed to operate the unit on a daily basis.
Hire and discipline staff members.
Identify and develop a staff member to assume all duties during absences.
Hold monthly meetings with all employees to discuss relevant information that aids in running the unit.
Establish a visible presence in the community by visiting local businesses, churches, civic organizations, etc. to drive business and increase sales.
Enforce all brand standards, company policies, and procedures.
Ensure that all new hire paperwork, timesheets, payroll data, disciplinary actions, and personal data sheets are completed correctly and timely.
Train all levels of staff on proper operations of the unit, including POS systems, back‑of‑house functions, and front‑of‑house operations.
Notify the District Manager or Vice President of Operations of any hurdles to success.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED completion.
Ability to communicate effectively with all hourly associates.
Ability to cover all shifts during normal operation.
Previous restaurant experience required.
Current ServSafe Certification (required within 3 months of acceptance).
