Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Director of Residence Life and Housing. The individual selected must demonstrate a commitment of Christ-centered liberal arts education, Christian service, and the mission of Faulkner University. The successful candidate will provide leadership to ensure a quality Christ-centered living and learning environment for all campus residents and guests. The selected individual must be available to reside on campus. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) position. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.Summary Of DutiesSupervise and administer all activities associated with the university's on-campus residence halls and apartmentsOversee maintenance of dorm and apartment facilitiesProvide assignment of rooms for each academic termOversee housekeeping functions in collaboration with our facilities managerAssist resident directors and housing staff (live-in adult supervisors) with student conduct issues occurring in on-campus housing, in collaboration with the Dean of StudentsSelect, train, provide professional development opportunities, guide, and supervise all Residence Life staffAssign rooms and oversee the move-in process for camp participants during the summer months and occasionally during other semestersOversee and process all operations associated with registration which includes housing selection, meal selection, chapel, and any necessary biographical information including emergency contactDemonstrate proficiency in the computer key systems used to secure campusQualificationsBachelor's degree required2+ years related experience preferredActive member of the church of ChristFor Initial Application SubmitResumeCover letter Employment is dependent upon a satisfactory background check and verification of work authorization through E-Verify.Non-discrimination statement: Faulkner University is a church-affiliated liberal arts institution committed to employing a highly qualified and diverse administration, faculty and staff which reflects the University's religious traditions, values, affiliation, and purpose.
