Paint Line Helper - 1st Shift/2nd Shift (West Bend)

Paint Production Specialist Reporting to the Paint Supervisor, this position's primary responsibilities are to produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM and SCAG product and loading and unloading parts from the paint line. This person may perform quality issues and notify supervisor and/or resolve quality issues. Teamwork, housekeeping, and organizing are important for this role. Availability on 1st Shift and 2nd Shift.Responsibilities Confirm job order and material selections. Report any packaging shortages.Tape and mask parts as required for coating.Use correct hangers to hang parts correctly on conveyer. Hang parts uniform for cleaning and powder painting.Assist with desk assembly on line and assemble tread plates, when neededRemove parts from racks after oven cure.Inspect coated parts for coating thickness using approved gauges.Keep paint hooks clean and in good working order; organize the area as needed.Responsible for filling out and managing all production, and quality documentation as required.Rack fenders with material handler when unloading line.Follow instructions to package parts to avoid damage in proper containers and on proper racks.Follow all company rules, policies, and regulations.Report quality concerns to line leader, manager, or QC department.Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards, using proper PPE and load weight limitations.Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.Other duties as assigned.Metalcraft of Mayville is an Equal Opportunity Employer:Minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identityQualifications Must have prior experience in Paint.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments.Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.High school degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.Strong basic math skills.Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills, and ability to multi-task.Good finger and hand dexterity.Basic knowledge in blueprint reading and torque values.Previous experience working within a highly technical environment with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly.Job Expectations Equipment Operated : Forklift, measurement devices, wrenches, screwdrivers, and various other hand tools.Physical DemandsPhysical Activity:ActivityN/AOccasionallyFrequentlyRegularlyAverage lbs.Lift/CarryX25 lbs routinely, 55 lbs occasionallyPush/PullX25 lbs routinely, 55 lbs occasionallyReach OverheadXComments:ClimbXSquat/Bend/KneelXSitXStandXWalk/Move AboutXOccasional: 1-2 hrs/shift Frequently 2-5 hrs/shift Regularly 5-8 hrs/shiftWork EnvironmentRegularly exposed to varying temperature conditions between 60-100 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noise, moving machinery parts, airborne particles, and fumes from production equipment.
