Program Manager
Role Description
We are seeking a proven Program Manager with a strong background in managing large projects to lead the successful execution of government programs. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in client-facing leadership roles, cross-functional team management, and experience working with a geographically dispersed team. The Program Manager II will be responsible for end-to-end program lifecycle management and will directly interface with government clients, industry partners, and various internal departments to ensure contractual obligations and performance goals are met.
Serve as primary point of contact for government clients on one or more contracts
Oversee program delivery, staffing, contract performance, and budget execution
Manage cross-functional teams, including subcontractors and remote personnel
Track and report on KPIs, milestones, risks, and financial metrics
Lead the development and delivery of program reports, technical deliverables, and client briefings
Ensure compliance with contract requirements and security standards
Participate in capture management, proposal development, and business development
Develop and mentor junior staff
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field
8–12 years of total experience, with 3–6 years in program/project management
Excellent leadership, communication, and client engagement skills
This is a remote position but requires residing within the Washington D.C. area.
Requirements
PMP or equivalent certification
Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft and SharePoint
