Compensation: Base Salary up to $173k | Bonus Eligible | Relocation Eligible Schedule: Full-Time, No Weekends Job Summary: The NICU Director is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through the effective oversight and staffing of our Level III NICU. This role involves strategic planning, budget management, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration, and supporting the implementation of policies and procedures that align with facility objectives. Key Responsibilities: Cultivate a superior clinical environment by implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Manage clinical practice variations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost management. Ensure adherence to standards of care and maintain a culture of accountability and transparency in patient care. Stay current with internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations, and actively pursue efforts to achieve them. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices that comply with all legal and regulatory standards. Ensure efficient patient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care through volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning. Foster interdisciplinary communication and collaboration within and across departments. Direct nursing practice and unit operations, ensuring patient and family needs are assessed, met, and evaluated. Provide leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience. Additional Information: Oversight of 99 beds in Level III NICU. Manage a team of 150 FTEs with 2 Managers. Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2 or 3 to 1. Daily census of 75. Standard leadership shift, Monday to Friday. Rotates call with 2 managers. Bachelor's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Masters Degree preferred. Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice or an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. NRP and FHM certifications preferred; RNC-OB preferred. 1+ year of healthcare experience required. 1+ year of leadership experience required. Current NICU Director experience preferred.
