Communications Technician I
VectorUSA is looking for experienced Cable Technicians. Candidates must have prior experience with Cat5e, Cat6, punch downs, cable pulling, and terminations. EEO/AA M\F\D\VJob Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)Run, terminate, pull, and test copper cableInstall and terminate fiber optic cableTest and troubleshoot a variety of media/cable types.Follow work procedures and company policiesMaintain cleanliness and safety on job siteSubmit required documentation.Assist with all aspects of the project as directed by the Site Superintendent, PM or Operational Management Team.Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED3+ years’ experience installing low voltage cabling (Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cable)Experience with punch downs, terminations, pulling, and testingAbility to read Blue PrintsStrong customer service skillsExcellent communication skillsMust be able to pass a post-offer drug screen, physical, background check, and Livescan (Dept. of Justice) Fingerprint criminal checkMust have a reliable vehicle that can accommodate a 6’ ladderMust have own toolsThese positions will/may work evening hours. Must be willing and able to work evenings (starting at approximately 2:30 PM)Must be able to lift 50 pounds; must be able to bend, stoop, reach, climbPreferred Qualifications2-3 years’ experience terminating fiber2 years’ experience using a Fluke testerCompensation Range: $25.00 - $31.00 hr.
