ControllerIndustry: Healthcare / Home Care ServicesLocation: Tri-State Area (NY / NJ / CT) | Hybrid Flexibility AvailableCompensation: $175,000-195,000 base (DOE) + Bonus + Equity Program ParticipationPosition OverviewThe HT Group is partnering with a growing healthcare services organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a key part in building scalable financial infrastructure to support multi-state growth.The ideal candidate is a hands-on CPA with strong healthcare accounting experience, deep expertise in NetSuite ERP, and a process-oriented mindset focused on automation and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & AccountingOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAPLead month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entitiesPrepare consolidated financial reporting and management analysisDevelop and maintain accounting policies, controls, and compliance proceduresSystems, Process Improvement & AutomationServe as the primary NetSuite administrator and subject matter expertLead ERP optimization, workflow automation, and system integrationsDrive process improvements and scalable workflows across finance operationsImplement automation and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and reporting accuracyAudit, Compliance & TaxLead external audit processes and manage auditor relationshipsEnsure compliance with multi-state tax and healthcare-related regulationsPartner with external advisors on tax planning and reportingMaintain and strengthen internal controls and risk management practicesLeadership & OperationsLead and develop distributed accounting teams, including remote/offshore staffEstablish performance expectations, SOPs, and accountability measuresPartner cross-functionally with leadership on strategic growth initiativesQualificationsActive CPA license requiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experienceStrong NetSuite ERP expertise preferredExperience in M&A-focused growth firms with large-scale system and process integrationsHealthcare or multi-entity accounting experience preferredExperience with automation, process improvement, and financial systems optimization preferredStrong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyProcess-oriented with a focus on scalability and efficiencyExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesCollaborative, hands-on, and adaptable in fast-paced environmentsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary plus bonus opportunityMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company contributionPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development support and continuing education reimbursementHybrid work flexibility
