IT Project Manager (Data Center Migrations & SAP Hosting Solutions)

We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a critical initiative of Data Center Migrations and SAP Hosting Solutions, the migration from legacy SAP on-premises servers to the cloud. As part of our dynamic team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth transition while managing risks, stakeholders, and project updates.Responsibilities Data Centre Migration Leadership: Lead the end-to-end migration process, ensuring seamless movement from legacy SAP systems to the cloud. Collaborate closely with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to define migration strategies, timelines, and success criteria. Oversee the execution of migration tasks, including server decommissioning, data transfer, and testing. Drive The Request For Proposal (RFP) Process Prepare detailed RFP documentation, including technical requirements, evaluation criteria, and risk assessments. Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and make informed recommendations. Track progress, address any deviations, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders. Risk Assessment And Mitigation Conduct thorough risk assessments related to the migration project. Develop risk mitigation plans and ensure timely execution. Proactively identify potential roadblocks and work collaboratively to resolve them. Stakeholder Management Engage with a diverse set of stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and executive leadership. Communicate project status, risks, and milestones effectively. Foster strong relationships to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. Testing Coordination Leverage your testing experience to plan and execute comprehensive testing activities. Understand the intricacies of legacy SAP systems and determine what needs rigorous testing before the transition. Collaborate with QA teams to validate successful migration and system functionality. Leadership Proven ability to lead large teams and manage multiple stakeholders. Strong decision-making skills and the capacity to navigate complex organizational dynamics. Technical Acumen Familiarity with data centre infrastructure, cloud technologies, and SAP systems. Understanding of network ports, security protocols, and system interdependencies. Project Management Demonstrated success in managing complex IT projects. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Risk Management Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks. Ability to balance risk and reward effectively. Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences, including executives.
