Marketing and Membership Assistant Job DescriptionOverall SummaryThe Marketing and Membership Assistant ("Assistant") reports to the Assistant General Manager, Director of Marketing, Communications, and Membership. The Assistant's role is to provide marketing, membership, and administrative support to the Membership and Marketing Department. The Assistant will be a key part of the department, handling projects related to marketing/communications to the general membership, and membership recruitmentand retention. Responsibilities SummaryThe Marketing and Membership Assistant acts as a point of contact for prospective and the general membership. The Assistant ensures that inquiries from prospective and current members are answered quickly and in a professional, friendly manner through face-to-face through tours, phone calls, and email/written correspondence.The Marketing and Membership Assistant works with the Marketing Coordinator to assist with the Club's email communications to the general membership, to maintain and update the Club's website, and assists AGM in marketing and communications efforts as appropriate. Specific DutiesResponds to inquiries for membership; establishes the initial rapport with prospective membersConducts private tours of the Club's facilities at both the Arlington and Fairfax locationsAssist the AGM to generate membership reports and analysisConducts Absent and Inactive Members usage analysisManage and coordinate membership related marketing collateralsPlan and assist with the bi-annual New Member ReceptionsAssists in the development and implementation of membership retention strategyFulfill other organizational communications needs as necessaryDatabase ManagementMaintains and updates the membership database and filesExperience/SkillsBachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferredProven track record of completing projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills required; including good time management skillsExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Ability to multi-task; prioritize and meet aggressive deadlinesMust be results oriented, with ability to demonstrate sense of urgency as neededMotivated, reliable self-starter with an ability to work within a teamExcellent problem solving skills with ability to creatively develop solutions as necessaryProficient in MS Professional OfficeFamiliarity with Adobe Creative SuiteSchedule: Tuesday - Saturday
