Account ManagerThe impact you will have:In this position, you will be responsible for the retention and expansion of existing assigned large group business. You will be responsible for the revenue growth of relevant ancillary lines. Supports our stakeholders (agents, brokers, clients, and consultants) and customers to assure Blue Cross maintains and grows its market position. This position may represent the department/division on corporate projects and receives assistance from other sales associates when needed.Your responsibilities:Relationship management with agency/broker/consultant/client. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with customers and stakeholders (agents, consultants, brokers and/or clients) to increase Blue Cross brand loyalty by proactively managing customers to provide timely identification and resolution of elevated issues by coordinating with all appropriate enterprise functional areas.Proactively develop renewal strategy for each agency/broker/consultant/client.Establish and own account plans; develop and implement annual activity roadmap and strategy by agency/broker/consultant/client; establish client/agency/broker presence and visit/interaction frequency per group size or book of business.Lead, implement and coordinate the annual contract renewal for assigned customers by collaborating with our stakeholders (agents, consultants, brokers and/or client) and customers to negotiate the financial terms of the contract renewal. This includes the negotiation of the rates, benefits, and risk arrangement to achieve Blue Cross business objectives.Ensure effective contract implementation and management by coordinating with others across Blue Cross.Achieve corporate retention and net growth targets for both medical and ancillary products.Support RFP/RFQ process for clients.Build financial acumen to develop sales strategy, and as needed, work with network and interplan team to sell business.Maintain Salesforce records as defined by division, department, or leader.Participate in the implementation of assigned new business contracts to ensure successful internal implementation while understanding and meeting stakeholders (agents, consultants, brokers and/or Taft-Hartley fund managers) and customer business needs.Present to agents/brokers/consultants/clients/fund managers, to motivate them to implement group employee engagement strategies.Serve as a mentor for others as appropriate.Regularly and meaningfully interact in market as defined by division, department, or leader.Required skills and experience:3+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.Possess and maintain a valid MN resident producer license in the lines of life & health/accident.Excellent analytical, problem identification and resolution skills as these pertain to benefit plans.Financial capabilities including ability to read, understand, interpret, and present complex renewal and underwriting formulas.Knowledge of ancillary programs available in the industry and Blue Cross (life, AD&D, STD, LTD, CDHP products, population health and care management programs, Medicare D, group Medicare, voluntary benefits, and disability management programs).Highly organized with attention to details and a track record of delivering a high level of client service in a timely manner while maximizing account profitability.Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to pay close attention to detail.Ability to present to and speak in front of customers and members to educate, persuade, and sell complex products.Ability to achieve results in a highly complex environment with tight deadlines and multiple shifting priorities.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute healthy and positive dynamics to the work team and the ability to train and mentor team members.Able to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.Demonstrated PC skills, including experience in Microsoft, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Travel as required.High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.Preferred skills and experience:Bachelor's degree.Knowledge of Blue Cross and affiliates products.J-18808-Ljbffr
