As the Partnership Tax Manager (Asset Management), you will conduct primary and secondary reviews of complex tax returns and provide tax consulting services for your partnership clients – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. You will be empowered by high quality tools and resources to thrive in your role to meet client needs, deliver high-value solutions, and help you achieve more, confidently.Sponsorship AvailableLocation: Hybrid 3 times a week in either of these locations.Irvine, CA, USLos Angeles, CA 90071, USSan Francisco, CA, USSalary: 145000 - 162,000 USD/YRMain ResponsibilitiesEvaluate the tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage the client's Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 704b accountsManage multiple client services teams on client engagementsPlan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industriesProvide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clientsMarket, sell, design, and implement tax-planning strategies for clients and manage to budgetManage, develop, train and mentor staff on tax projects and assess their performance for engagement and year-end performance reviewsResearch and consult on various tax matters, primarily in Sub-chapter K-Partnership taxationUtilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax mattersRespond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authoritiesMaintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure deadlines are met, and enhance client relationshipsSupport business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clientsOther duties as assignedTechnical Skills and QualificationsBachelors degree in accountingCPA requiredMinimum six to ten years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or a combination of industry and public accounting experienceExperience with partnership structuring, entity formation and mergers & acquisitions is preferredExcellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skillsProficiency in US GAAP, partnership returns, joint venture and non-corporate entity tax returns Understanding of Sub-chapter K partnership taxation, is requiredExceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationshipsStrong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environmentCan travel as needed
