The LED is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive program designed to enhance the quality of life for residents. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing events and activities catering to residents' physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual needs.Essential DutiesPlan and implement diverse activities promoting physical, social, emotional, spiritual and intellectual well-being of the residentsFoster positive relationships with residents through regular interaction and engagementPlan and execute events that bring residents and their families together for social engagementManage the Life Engagement budget effectively, ensuring resources are used efficientlyEncourage resident participation and gather feedback to tailor activities to their preferences and needsWork closely with other departments to ensure a holistic resident care and engagement approachDesign and implement a comprehensive life engagement programEnsure all activities align with the core values of the organizationLead and mentor the Life Engagement team, providing guidance and support to ensuring quality programmingEducation/ Experience RequirementsCollege degree preferredMinimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare settingStrong leadership and team management skillsActivity Director Certified in IndianaEnthusiasm and a positive attitudeCreative and strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and adaptWork independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leaderDemonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skillsMaintain good working relationships with residents and co-workersProficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)Willingness to perform additional duties as assignedWhat We OfferWe offer On-Demand Pay so you can access wages you’ve already earned between paydays.
