eVinci Rapid Prototyping Lead Engineer

About the role
As an eVinci Rapid Prototyping Lead Engineer you will work on the eVinci microreactor program with responsibilities in leading the rapid prototyping of the systems, components and hardware related to eVinci microreactor and associated customer projects. You will oversee all prototyping activities, working and collaborating with design engineers, manufacturing personnel and technicians. We expect the engineer to perform hands-on work to build these prototypes and transition them from concepts to intermediate design stages. The engineer shall develop, test and refine components/parts and associated software/controls to validate functionality, fit, form, performance, and manufacturability. You will achieve safety, quality, and best-cost products.
You will report to the Chief Engineer, eVinci Technologies and work a hybrid role based in Etna, PA.
Key Responsibilities
Development of Prototypes - create detailed designs and 3d models
Use rapid and advanced manufacturing techniques to quickly iterate
Test the Designs - develop, test and iterate
Collaboration - work with engineering and technical team members to achieve program goals ensuring a streamlined process where risks are avoided early and manufacturability and cost are considered in each phase of the development.
Develop test plans to validate prototypes and parameters and support transition to design and testing teams for handoff to final design.
Bring engineering thoughtfulness to resolution of problems that are sometimes loosely- or only partially defined, requiring experience within given discipline.
Provide technical guidance and direction to and collaborate with other personnel including partners including laboratories or subcontractors.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.
6+ years' experience in a related role
Experience working in an environment of applied R&D, startup, or new product development (with relevance of testing and experiments).
Proficiency in running tests and data acquisition
Knowledgeable in Design for Manufacturing and Industrial engineering concepts with hands-on experience in the nuclear industry of delivering hardware
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
