# WordPress Developer## About the RoleCharterUP is seeking a versatile **WordPress Developer** to own the design, development, optimization, and ongoing management of the company website. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role combines WordPress development, web design, UX/UI, SEO, performance optimization, and third-party integrations.You will work closely with marketing and product teams to create responsive, accessible, high-performing, and conversion-focused digital experiences that support CharterUP's business goals.## Key Responsibilities* Own end-to-end website management, including design mockups, UX/UI improvements, WordPress development, content structure, and performance optimization.* Develop and customize **WordPress themes and plugins** to support new features, functionality, and integrations.* Maintain responsive website experiences across devices and browsers.* Apply accessibility standards to web design and development.* Collaborate with marketing and product teams on campaigns, landing pages, and conversion-optimized user flows.* Implement **SEO best practices** across website design and development, including metadata, internal linking, and site-speed optimization.* Monitor website analytics and performance to identify opportunities to improve user experience, conversion paths, and overall website effectiveness.* Manage integrations with third-party tools, including CRM, analytics, and marketing automation platforms.* Stay current with WordPress advancements, web design trends, and digital tools to support continuous innovation.## Required Qualifications* **5+ years of experience** as a WordPress Developer.* Proven ability to design and implement user-friendly, responsive, and visually compelling web experiences.* Strong WordPress development skills, including theme customization, plugin management, site optimization, and performance/security best practices.* Proficiency in **HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript**.* Familiarity with **SEO principles** and their implementation within WordPress.* Experience integrating third-party tools and marketing platforms.* Strong project management and collaboration skills.* Ability to balance creative design requirements with technical execution.## Preferred Qualifications* Experience working in a fast-paced or growth-stage environment.* Experience with design tools such as **Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite**.* Strong design and usability perspective when developing web experiences.##
