This is a part-time non-benefitted position.Duties/Responsibilities(50%)Design and delivery course content for credit courses(45%)Prepare course materials. Assess student learning.Assign gradesRefer students to support services. Provide supplemental instruction and mentorship to students.(5%)Abide with USNH and KSC policiesParticipate in appropriate departments/unit meetings.RequirementsMinimum Acceptable Education & Experience:Ph.D. in historyPeer-reviewed publication in early republic political historyExpertise in early republic and 19th-century US political historyAbility to teach a course in capitalism and slavery in the US, 1790-1850..Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching courses on American expansion in the antebellum period, capitalism and slavery, 1790-1850, and history of Boston.
