Supported by CGI's global network and strong client community, CGI Advantage delivers secure, intuitive, and scalable solutions.Role OverviewThe Director, Solution Engineering Enablement is a senior leadership role responsible for leading and evolving the organization's pre-sales solution engineering capability in support of revenue growth, deal differentiation, and customer confidence. This role has accountability for Strategic Solution Engineers, Solution Engineers, and Solution Support Engineers, ensuring consistent excellence in demonstrations, solution narratives, RFP responses, and overall solution readiness. Reporting directly to the SVP of Platform Enablement (Sales), this highly visible role partners closely with Sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive success on complex, high-value pursuits while building a scalable, high-performing solution engineering organization.Experience working with ERP solutions and proposals within SLED (State, Local, and Education), DOT, or K-12 markets is highly desirable.Locations: Fairfax, VA | Dallas/Belton, TX | Denver, CO | Knoxville, TN | Lafayette, LA | Henderson, NVWork Model: Hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite at a designated CGI office)Your future duties and responsibilities:Leadership and StrategyDefine and execute the vision, operating model, and standards for Solution Engineering EnablementAlign solution engineering priorities with sales strategy and platform enablement objectivesServe as a trusted advisor to Sales and executive leadership on solution strategy, deal risk, and differentiationProvide oversight and guidance on the organization's most complex and strategically significant pursuitsTeam Leadership and Talent DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop Strategic Solution Engineers, Solution Engineers, and Solution Support EngineersEstablish clear role expectations, success metrics, and career progression frameworksIdentify and develop high potential talent for continued team growthFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvementPre Sales ExcellenceOwn standards for demonstration quality, solution storytelling, and RFP responsesEnsure consistent, compelling, and differentiated customer facing solution deliveryOversee demo readiness, environment quality, and data integrityEnsure effective identification, documentation, and escalation of demo impacting software defectsSales and Customer EngagementPartner closely with Sales leadership to influence deal strategy and positioningEngage directly with executive level customer stakeholders and Client Facing Business Units as neededEnsure solutions clearly articulate business value, differentiation, and outcomesBalance resource allocation based on deal complexity, revenue impact, and strategic priorityCross Functional CollaborationPartner with Product, Engineering, Consulting, and Platform teamsTranslate customer and market feedback into actionable insightsInfluence roadmap, enablement, and messaging priorities based on pre sales experienceEnsure alignment between platform capabilities and solution messagingOperational EffectivenessEstablish scalable processes and governance to support growthTrack and report on key performance metrics, including win rates, solution readiness, and qualityIdentify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across the solution engineering functionEnsure efficient use of tools, environments, and resourcesRequired qualifications to be successful in this role:10 or more years of experience in solution engineering, pre sales, consulting, or a related customer facing technical roleProven people leadership experience managing senior, highly skilled teamsDeep understanding of pre sales solution engineering best practicesStrong executive communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to influence sales strategy and customer outcomesExperience operating in complex, fast paced, high stakes environmentsExperience with enterprise ERP platforms (CGI Advantage ERP strongly preferred)Background supporting large, complex, or public sector sales pursuitsExperience partnering closely with Sales leadership and executive stakeholdersDemonstrated success building or scaling solution engineering organizationsCGI anticipates accepting applications through June 30,2026.Other Information:CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $129,100.00 - $276,200.00.CGI's benefits are offered to eligible professionals on their first day of employment to include:.
