Security Operations Center (SOC) Team Member
The Security Operations Center (SOC) Team Member supports 24/7 monitoring and response operations for Circle K stores across multiple divisions. This role is responsible for real-time alarm monitoring, incident response, dispatch coordination, and remote troubleshooting of security systems.You will play a critical role in protecting store employees, assets, and operations by responding quickly and accurately to security events. This position operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while strictly following established procedures.This role offers hands-on experience with enterprise-level alarm monitoring, video surveillance, and incident management systems, with opportunities for growth and advancement. Ability to work different shifts if needed and this position is a shift position.Essential Job FunctionsMonitor and respond to security alarms including robbery, burglary, panic, and system trouble signalsPrioritize alarms based on severity (P1 vs. non-P1) and follow defined response proceduresDispatch law enforcement, fire departments, and service vendors as requiredMonitor live and recorded CCTV video using enterprise surveillance systemsPerform remote troubleshooting for alarm panels, cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and access control systemsSupport store personnel via phone and email with security-related issuesDocument incidents accurately and maintain detailed records in security systemsMonitor and manage access control systems, including user access and event reviewMaintain and update subscriber, site, and system recordsFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalation protocols without deviationCommunicate effectively with internal teams to ensure continuity of operations RequirementsExperience in a SOC, alarm monitoring, or related field preferred (strong entry-level candidates will be trained)Experience with alarm platforms (Micro Key, SIMs, DICE or similar) preferredFamiliarity with CCTV systems (3xLogic, Hikvision) and access control systems is a plusStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environmentStrong attention to detail and decision-making accuracyAbility to strictly follow procedures without deviationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Must be able to work assigned shifts in a 24/7 environment (nights, weekends, holidays) What Success Looks LikeResponds to alarms quickly, accurately, and consistentlyFollows SOPs without shortcuts or deviationsMaintains composure during critical or high-volume situationsCommunicates clearly and professionally with stores and first respondersProduces accurate, detailed incident reportsContributes to a reliable, high-performing SOC team PHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to sit and monitor systems for extended periodsFrequent use of computers, phones, and monitoring equipmentOccasional lifting up to 40 lbs Additional NotesExperience in multi-site retail or high-volume monitoring environments is a strong plusThis is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role directly impacting store safety and operationsJob duties may evolve based on operational needsCircle K is an Equal Opportunity Employer.The Company complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (the ADA) and all state and local disability laws.
