The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director to ensure a safe, nurturing, and well-organized learning environment for children, support and supervise staff, maintain compliance with childcare regulations, and assist with family communication and center operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a passion for supporting children and staff. Requirements · Must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a Level 3 Administrator credential Experience working in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting Leadership, lead teacher, or supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations, health and safety standards Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to support staff, families, and daily center operations Reliable, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Must pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist the Director with the daily operations of the childcare center Provide leadership, coaching, and support to teaching staff Monitor classroom environments to ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies Assist with staff scheduling, classroom coverage, and ratios Support onboarding and training of new staff Communicate professionally with families regarding concerns, questions, and updates Help maintain documentation, incident reports, and required licensing records Step into classrooms when needed to support ratios and classroom management Support the center culture by modeling professionalism, patience, and positive interactions with children Assist with program quality, routines, and consistency across classrooms Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
