Project Manager - Structural Steel Division

Position OverviewHRV Conformance Verification Associates, Inc. (HRV) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager - Structural Steel Division to support and manage structural steel inspection and quality assurance projects across transportation, infrastructure, and heavy construction sectors.This role is ideal for an early-career professional with 1-5 years of experience, a Civil Engineering background, and a clear path toward licensure. The selected candidate will work closely with senior leadership and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with applicable standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing structural steel inspection and QA/QC projects from kickoff through closeoutCoordinate with clients, contractors, and internal field teamsSupport project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planningEnsure compliance with applicable codes and standards (AWS, AASHTO, DOT requirements)Review and support preparation of inspection reports and project documentationCoordinate field personnel including Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI), NDT technicians, and inspectorsSupport PennDOT ECMS documentation, reporting, and project trackingIdentify project risks and assist in resolving issues in the field and officeParticipate in project meetings and provide updates to leadershipBuild relationships with clients and support business development effortsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (required)1-5 years of experience in construction, structural steel, QA/QC, or related fieldFundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam passed (EIT certification preferred)Actively pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensureAWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification - Strongly preferredStrong understanding of structural steel, fabrication, or construction processesFamiliarity with industry codes and standards (AWS D1.1, AASHTO preferred)Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong communication and organizational skillsWillingness to travel to job sites as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience working with inspection teams or QA/QC processesKnowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT)Experience with project tracking systems (e.g., ECMS)
