Job Title: Litigation Secretary (Hybrid)Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 (DOE)Schedule: Hybrid (In-Office + Remote Flexibility)Firm OverviewWe are a well-established mid-sized law firm with a strong civil defense practice, representing clients in insurance defense, employment defense, and medical malpractice matters. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality legal services while fostering a collaborative and flexible work environment.Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Secretary to provide comprehensive support to attorneys in a fast-paced litigation practice. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to case management. The position offers hybrid flexibility, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, revise, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondenceFile documents in state and federal courts (including e-filing) and ensure compliance with court rulesMaintain attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, and deadlinesCoordinate and track discovery, including subpoenas, document productions, and responsesManage case files, both electronic and physical, and maintain organized document systemsCommunicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendorsAssist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, binders, and trial materialsEnter attorney time, assist with billing, and track expenses as neededQualificationsMinimum 5 years of litigation secretary experience, preferably in civil defenseExperience supporting insurance defense, employment, or medical malpractice practices strongly preferredSolid understanding of court procedures, deadlines, and filing requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)Experience with document management systems and e-filing platformsStrong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid settingBenefits & PerksCompetitive salary ($80K–$90K depending on experience)Hybrid work flexibilityMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer contributionPaid time off and firm holidaysSupportive, team-oriented culture with opportunities for long-term growthEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate toThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:• The California Fair Chance Act• Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance• Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers• San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
