Job Description We are seeking a Interior Designer to join our team!Studio Schicketanz is a full-service architectural firm providing a wide range of architecture, planning, and interior design services.Based in Carmel, our firm specializes in customized residential and commercial architecture and interiors.We are known for environmentally conscious designs and are dedicated to creating sustainable projects that draw upon the strengths of their natural surroundings.All our projects are a seamless merging of interior design, architecture, and the exterior space beyond.General Job Description:Carmel Interior Design firm is looking for a motivated, energetic, and highly organized designer for our Interior Design Department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and can be self-sufficient while working as part of a team. Applicant should have a bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture, and a minimum of 3 years of work experience. Applicant should be proficient in REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Google Sketchup, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher). Must have excellent time management, follow through and organizational skills. The right candidate should feel comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment and be adaptable to changes in priorities and deadlines.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Drafting floorplans, interior elevations, furnishing plans, furniture, and details using REVITSourcing architectural interior finishes, furnishings and fabricsPreparing Plumbing, Appliance, Finish and Furnishing schedulesPreparing renderings, presentation materials, and specifications for client presentationsObtaining quotes and samplesWork with the design assistant to keep furniture spreadsheets updated for order processingWork with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and agencies to meet overall project objectivesEnsure correct production of furniture and on-time deliveryAssist in supervising furnishing inspections and installationsAssist in driving project to timely completionKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:The applicant should have a bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture. Minimum of 2 years work experience required.Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of projectIntermediate presentation and graphic communication skillsKnowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirementsApplicant should be proficient in REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically, Word, Excel, and Outlook).LEED accreditation preferred or required within 6 months of hireHospitality Experience is preferred but not requiredAdditional Details:Location: CarmelHours: Full Time - 40 Hours in OfficeCompensation: Hourly: Based on ExperiencePrincipals only.
