We offer ample opportunities for professional growth, as evidenced by industry-low turnover.ResponsibilitiesWork under the guidance of the Senior Staff AccountantReview and process employee expense reportsProcess and submit invoices to clientsAssist in reconciling assigned accounts in a timely mannerAssist in reconciling general ledger and journal entriesDaily entry of key information into databasesAssist in collection activities on outstanding receivablesPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to work full-time in the office for at-least the first 90-days of employmentAbility to establish strong working relationships with Partners, engineers, and staffAdvanced analytical and Microsoft Excel skills (Word & PowerPoint, a plus)Detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skillsDemonstrates self-initiative and a positive team attitudePrioritizes effectively, has good follow-through, and ability to multi-taskExcellent written and oral communications skillsQuick learner and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentEducation and ExperienceAssociate’s degree in Accounting a plusExperience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry is a plusPrevious experience in bookkeeping and basic accounting principlesPrevious two to five (2-5) years experience in an accounting roleBe a Part of Our TeamNewcomb & Boyd caters to the needs of clients and owners through the integration of MEP design, commissioning, acoustics, audio-visual, communications, building automation, theatre systems, security, and lighting design.
