Social Service DirectorWe are seeking a dynamic Social Service Director.Our Social Service Director establishes and promotes the vision and direction of the Department of Social Services consistent with state and federal mandates, and the County's strategic plan as approved by the Board of Supervisors; establishes and implements departmental goals and objectives; establishes appropriate administrative policies, services, structures, controls, and reporting systems for the efficient and effective performance of social service, income maintenance, employment training, and related functions; determines types and levels of services to be provided and standards by which delivery will be evaluated.ResponsibilitiesSupervise the social services department in day-to-day operations, setting job assignments and priorities.Develop goals and objectives for the department and motivate care team members to achieve them.Ensure new care team members are effectively oriented and maintain an ongoing educational program.Develop positive relationships with regulatory agencies, residents, and families, including participation in family orientation and family council.Assist in preparing the department budget and administer the approved budget.Implement policies and procedures with follow-up and supervision to ensure compliance.Provide direct psychosocial intervention.Perform resident assessments at admission, upon condition change, and annually.Create, review, and update care plans and progress notes.Coordinate resident visits with outside services such as dental and optical care.Attend and document resident council meetings.Assist resident families in coping with skilled nursing placement, physical illness, and disabilities of the resident, as well as the grieving process.Work with the resident, family, and other care team members to plan discharge.Conduct in-service programs to educate staff regarding psychosocial issues and patient rights.Perform other tasks as assigned.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.Certification required by the state of employment.One year of social work experience in a long-term care environment.One year of supervisory experience in a service setting.BenefitsQuarterly Pay IncreaseDaily PayCompany-Paid Life InsuranceTelehealth ServicesDouble Pay on HolidayCare Team Member Relief FundJ-18808-Ljbffr
