We encouragestudents to be curious and reflective learners who are self-advocates and communicators.Benefits:• Medical Insurance• Vision Insurance• Dental Insurance• Short Term Disability• Long Term Disability• Life Insurance• 403B• Paid PTORequirements:Paraprofessional Key Job Responsibilities• Work with individual students and/or in a small group to support material initially introduced by the teacher.• Support the implementation of teacher-led plans or re-teach concepts students need reviewed.• Assist classroom teacher with organization of classroom exercises and assessments.• Assist classroom teacher in classroom preparation.• Utilyze various strategies that reinforce instructional materials and skills according to individual needs.• Assist classroom teacher and related service providers by providing support to students on IEPs by ensuring the student(s) is receiving accommodations and adaptations to meet their educational goals and objectives.• Assist with classroom behavior management to minimize disruptions, ensure a safe and orderly classroom and help keep students on task.• Provide assistance and support to substitute teachers in the absence of the permanent teacher.• Record student performance in order to document progress.• Participate in the IEP process and serve as a resource for the evaluation team.• Attend professional development training as required.• Serve as a resource for all students, as needed.Qualifications• Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis (Required).• Illinois Paraprofessional license (Required).• 3 or more years working in a high school setting (Preferred).ACE Amandla Charter School is an equal opportunity employer.
