Position Details: Dates: February 21 March 3, 2025.Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours with call responsibilities.Practice Setting: Outpatient, with hospital privileges required.Support Staff: Includes 3 physician assistants and office staff.EMR Systems: Athena for outpatient, Centricity at the hospital.Credentialing Timeline: Estimated 60-90 days. Responsibilities: Outpatient clinic 1-2 days per week (approximately 35 appointments).Rounding in the hospital, averaging 15 patients daily (2-4 hours).Call coverage with 0-2 callbacks per 24-hour shift and less than 10 calls overall.Performing a variety of procedures, including:Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).Valvular repairs and replacements (AVR, MVR).Thoracic procedures such as lung resections.Vascular surgeries (optional but preferred), including aortic dissection repair and carotid endarterectomy. Qualifications: License: Active Tennessee medical license required.Board Certification: Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery (fellowship preferred).Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
