SummaryBrief DescriptionPrepare High Voltage for CVT Electromagnetic Unit (EMU).The HV Winding typically uses small-gauge wire with 6000 to 8000 turns. Taps must be soldered inside the winding.Paper insulation and wire sleeving are applied as required by the work instruction. Miscellaneous taping and crimpingis required.Primary Responsibilities Verify material you will work with is correct according to your work order. Inspect paper to be sure it is not torn, damaged or dirty. Load paper tubes on to the winding machine. Apply wire and paper per the work instruction Send wound tubes to next workbench. Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent next workstation. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) Complete daily/weekly production logs Communicate with operators from other shifts. Clean and maintain work area. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. Other duties as assigned.Additional Responsibilities Perform back-up for assemblers. Provide on-the-job training to new employees.Knowledge And Skill Requirements Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diplomaor equivalent. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
