QC Technician - Solar

Position Summary:Solar Gaines is expanding! We are seeking a dedicated QA/QC Technician to support our solar installation projects during the construction phase. This role is vital to ensuring all installations meet performance, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct on-site quality inspections at all stages of the project lifecycleVerify compliance with design specifications, building codes, and manufacturer guidelinesDocument and track quality issues, non-conformities, and corrective actionsAssist in the development and maintenance of QA/QC checklists and standard proceduresPerform hands-on field work when necessaryEnsure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical standardsMaintain clear communication with superintendents, project managers, and clientsRegularly inspect and maintain assigned PPE, tools, and equipmentRequired Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in PV construction, commissioning, or quality assuranceFamiliarity with QA/QC or commissioning platforms (e.g., Procore )Strong knowledge of DC electrical systems and PV componentsAbility to interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer documentationFamiliar with NEC and local PV installation codesExcellent troubleshooting and coordination abilitiesAble to work independently and collaborativelyComfortable lifting up to 60 lbs. and working at heightsProficient in using computers and monitoring softwareKnowledge of OSHA safety standardsEducation & Certifications: High School Diploma or GED (Required)OSHA 30 Certification (Required)Valid Driver's License (Required)Journeyman Electrician License (Preferred, not required)Schedule: Monday – Friday8-hour shiftsCompensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay: $24–$35/hour (commensurate with experience)401(k) retirement planHealth, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Life, short- and long-term disability insurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Bonus pay and referral programProfessional development assistanceWhy Join Solar Gaines?Solar Gaines is committed to building the future of clean energy..
