Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position in Brooklyn, NY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, active NY RN license, and EP Lab background.Job Details• Mixed procedural unit supporting Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology (EP), and Interventional Radiology (IR), with a shared prep and recovery area,• Primary patient population consists of adults with arrhythmias and related cardiac diagnoses,• Day shift ratio of 1:4,• Schedule is 3×12-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM-6:30 PM with no rotating shifts,• Weekends and on-call are not required,• Floating required to Cath Prep/Recovery,• Documents procedures using Epic (experience required),• Medication management via Omnicell,• 8-week contract,Job Requirements• Active NY RN license required,• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,• EP Lab experience required; candidates with a Cath Lab background and EP experience will be considered,• Epic charting experience required,• Proficiency with procedural sedation administration and monitoring,• Competency with antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, reversal agents, and thrombolytics,• Skills required include sheath removal and monitoring, cardioversion, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), topical hemostasis agents, PICC line care, blood product administration, and end-tidal CO2 monitoring,• COVID vaccination required - no exceptions,Additional Information• Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure care, circulating procedures, monitoring procedural sedation, and supporting cardiac and EP interventional cases,• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred,• Previous charge nurse experience preferred,• Cath Lab training preferred,• Orientation is approximately 11.5 hours,• Scrubs are provided,• Parking is available at no cost in an assigned employee garage,• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year to return as a traveler,• Local candidates are accepted,
