Customized, affordable security solutions our clients want without compromising the protection they need thats our client commitment.WHAT WE OFFER:A comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401k plan, paid life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, paid holidays, and paid time off for most of our positions.We also provide an employee assistance program, employee referral program, a recognition program, on-the-job training, and career growth opportunities.JOB SUMMARY:Provide security, patrol, and overwatch for a US Scientific Site/Vessels.Part time positionPay: 17.62 -22.71 per hourJOB DESCRIPTION:Responsible for the protection and physical security of the property, materials and equipment aboard the assigned scientific research vessel.Conduct hourly patrols to assigned areas:Remaining observant for signs of fire or ship flooding/water damagePatrol the interior and exterior of your assigned scientific vessel and remain alert for any equipment malfunctions, high water levels, excessive strain on mooring lines, unauthorized persons, display lighting, unsecured doors/hatches, and other safety/security factors of the scientific vessel. The guard may be required to use a ship provided electronic device to physically verify access to ship areas (training provided)Follow the designated patrol routesCheck gauges/dials on generators, pumps, refrigerator/freezers, compressors or any other specified machinery (training provided) and notified appropriate parties immediately if temperature/readings are outside specified limits or should an incident occur.Maintain a shift activity logPrevent unauthorized personnel from boarding the vessel and issue GOV keys to authorized personnelPatrol the pier and monitor safety concernsAdvise all private vessels to stay clear of the scientific facility/shipRecord authorized and unauthorized visitors in the ships logbookRaise and lower the scientific vessels flags at appropriate times.Operate vessels security lights at designated times.Maintain confidentiality of operations while monitoring phones.Other duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:Must be a U.S. CitizenProficient in the English languageShows mature judgment, reliability, dependability, tactfulness and self-controlAbility to retain composure and perform under pressure and to know when to call for assistanceAbility to meet and deal effectively with the general public and with visiting dignitariesAbility to see and respond to dangerous situationsAbility to wear and use all protective equipmentMust be able to pass in-depth client background checkHave a Real ID/passport for fingerprinting purposes
