HR Generalist/Talent Acquisition Specialist
SATO America is seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR Generalist/Talent Acquisition Specialist to support both the full employee lifecycle and end-to-end recruitment across the organization. This role blends strategic talent acquisition leadership with day-to-day HR Generalist responsibilities, serving as a key partner to leaders and employees.The position will manage full-cycle recruiting (approximately 50-60%) across a variety of functions while also owning core HR Generalist activities (40-50%), including employee relations, benefits, payroll support, compliance, and HR program execution. This individual will play a critical role in enhancing the employee experience while ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Talent Acquisition (50-60%)Lead full-cycle recruitment for a diverse range of roles across sales, marketing, engineering, service, operations, and manufacturingPartner closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategiesProactively source and build pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill rolesDeliver a high-quality candidate experience from initial contact through onboardingManage all aspects of the hiring process, including intake meetings, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding supportContinuously improve or build recruiting processes, programs, or systemsTrack recruiting metrics and provide insights to improve hiring effectiveness and efficiencyStrengthen employer branding efforts and ensure consistent messaging in the marketEnsure compliance with all applicable employment laws and hiring practicesHR Generalist Responsibilities (40-50%)Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and best practicesSupport employee relations matters, including coaching managers, addressing concerns, and facilitating resolutionsAssist with benefits administration, employee education, and vendor coordinationSupport payroll processes, including data validation, audits, and coordination with payroll providersContribute to onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experiencePartner on performance management processes, including goal setting and feedback cyclesSupport learning & development initiatives, including coordinating training programs and identifying development needsEnsure HR compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsParticipate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, retention, and operational efficiencyQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) a plus5–10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong background in both talent acquisition and HR generalist functionsExperience improving or building recruiting processes, programs, or systemsExperience recruiting across multiple functions and levels, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environmentsSolid working knowledge of HR disciplines including employee relations, benefits, payroll, and complianceExperience partnering with leaders and influencing decisions in both hiring and HR mattersProficiency in MS Office and HRIS/ATS systems (e.g., UKG Ready, Paycor, Paycom, etc.)SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilityExceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detailHigh level of accountability, follow-through, and ownershipStrong functional knowledge of MS Office Suite, and HRIS/TA systems (UKG Ready, Paycor, Paycom, etc.)Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levelsStrong customer service orientation with a focus on delivering a positive candidate and employee experienceEffective communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skillsProactive, data-driven, and solutions-oriented mindsetAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
