You will become a key contributor in making that happen.PurposeEntry-level position on the Desktop Support Team reporting directly to the Lead Desktop Engineer.This position is 100% onsite in Brownsville, TX. Work at home is not available for this position.Your ResponsibilitiesAssist with the support of all aspects of LAN-based networkingAssist with the installation and maintenance of all computer hardware and softwareAssist with the installation and maintenance of voice systems to support call-flow; usually limited to cabling, phones, headsets and softwareCabling new and existing locations for new network, phone, or other equipmentRepair or upgrade computer systems as neededProvide Tier 1 level support on hardware and software technical issuesAll other duties as requested by the Director of Desktop Support, Desktop Manager or Lead Desktop EngineerQualificationsMust be a computer course student, graduate or have computer related work experienceStrong understanding of network routing protocols and their practical applications on global networksExperience in managing distributed inventory of network equipmentExperience in virtual networking setup using VMwareExperience with Cisco and Juniper product lines at a technical and hardware levelHands on experience troubleshooting hardware such as routers, switches, network interface cards, firewalls, and telecommunications devicesExperience with VoIP and supporting VoIP over a production WANAbility to view a computer monitor for several hours at a timeCandidates must have open availability and able to work additional hours as neededBachelor of Science degree in a computer-related field is preferred; or equivalent computer certifications accompanied by related work experienceTP is an Equal Opportunity EmployerJ-18808-Ljbffr
