Pre-K Teacher
A Star Is Rising Early Childcare Center is a family-owned early childhood program serving children from infancy through five years old, with summer programming up to age 13. We are seeking a passionate, dedicated Educational Director who works well with both children and adults and understands the difference between a family-run school and a corporate setting.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, outgoing, and flexible leader with strong communication, management, and organizational skills. This role requires hands-on leadership, collaboration with families and staff, and a deep commitment to quality early childhood education.
Director Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Understanding, implementing, and maintaining all state licensing regulations and educational requirements
Ensuring curriculum implementation and that the center meets all educational goals
Managing daily operations/cleaning while ensuring all policies and procedures are followed
Building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with families and staff
Supervising students and staff
Conducting formal and informal classroom observations
Overseeing student assessments and developmental progress
Providing assistance with staff training, guidance, and ongoing support.
Maintaining all state required records and documentation
Ensuring sanitary conditions are upheld and the facility is kept in good repair
Developing and maintaining high standards for education and nurturing throughout the day
Supporting staff professional growth through conferences, meetings, observations, and feedback
Conducting written staff evaluations at the end of probationary periods and annually
Keeping staff informed and engaged in current developments in early childhood education
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (required)
Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Early Childhood or Preschool Director (required)
Must meet all state educational and licensing requirements for a director
Strong leadership, supervisory, and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively

Typical Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

$18.00 – $22.00 per hour
