Role: Superintendent Location: Boston, MA Salary: 150,000-210,000 Duration: Permanent/Direct Hire Are you a seasoned Heavy Civil Superintendent who takes pride in running safe, efficient, and well-organized jobsites? This is an opportunity to step into a key leadership role where your experience will directly drive project success across complex infrastructure and civil construction projects in the Boston area. We’re looking for a hands-on field leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, knows how to keep crews moving, and builds strong relationships with subcontractors, owners, and project teams. What You’ll Do Lead day-to-day field operations on heavy civil construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards Supervise field crews and subcontractors, driving productivity while maintaining strong safety culture Develop and maintain short-term schedules to keep work progressing on or ahead of plan Coordinate site logistics, inspections, and testing activities to maintain quality and compliance Monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage to help keep projects on budget Review subcontractor progress and collaborate with project managers on payment approvals Maintain strong working relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors Lead daily reporting and participate in project coordination meetings Champion safety initiatives and foster an injury-free work environment through leadership and example What We’re Looking For 10+ years of Heavy Civil Construction experience, with proven success leading field operations Strong background managing subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification preferred Experience working on transportation or transit-related projects is a plus Prior experience working with regional infrastructure clients is highly valued Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Comfortable using Microsoft Office and project documentation tools Ability to work in varied site conditions and environments year-round.
