Senior Privacy Counsel, US Licensed

A company is looking for a Senior Privacy Counsel, Americas. Key Responsibilities Serve as a specialist privacy resource for complex privacy matters and regulatory queries in the Americas region Develop and execute privacy and data protection strategies ensuring compliance with relevant laws in the US, Canada, and Brazil Conduct privacy impact assessments and manage data subject rights requests while leading privacy breach preparedness efforts Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction 7-10 years of experience as a privacy lawyer in a technology company, preferably in FinTech Deep expertise in US privacy laws and regulations, including CCPA and state privacy laws Working knowledge of Canadian and Brazilian privacy laws Experience implementing privacy by design principles and managing multiple complex privacy initiatives
