🏢 About the client25 years profitable: An award-winning San Francisco enterprise software innovator, roughly 75 people, doubled since 2023.10 U.S. patents: No-code integration, process automation and intelligent computer-guided work.Mission-critical customers: Nuclear plants, major U.S. utilities and a top Department of Energy national laboratory.A mission you can point to: Helping the nation reach net-zero energy goals while making electricity production safer and more cost-effective.⚡ The product you will protectDigitized work: A Dynamic Work Execution Platform that turns business processes, instructions, procedures and forms into computer-guided work.No-code authoring: Drag-and-drop tools with live integration to enterprise systems.Offline and concurrent: Work runs on mobile devices and desktops with full offline support and concurrent users.Real-time visibility: Monitoring tools and work portals show every task performed across the enterprise.Why it matters for QA: No-code authoring, offline sync, concurrency and enterprise integration in mission-critical environments – the edge cases are real, and they matter.🛠️ What you'll doOwn quality end to end: Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases that validate functionality against real business requirements – not just against the ticket.Test every layer: End-to-end, functional, regression, integration and performance testing across web-based and enterprise applications.Drive automation: Build, maintain and run automated test frameworks and scripts that expand coverage and shorten regression cycles – and know what not to automate.Think beyond the script: Boundary conditions, negative paths, state transitions, concurrency, permissions, data integrity and failure recovery.Guard reliability: Monitor system performance, scalability and security to uphold enterprise-grade standards.Find root causes: Analyze complex system behaviors, isolate the true source of a defect and write actionable bug reports an engineer can act on the same day.Collaborate daily: Partner with developers, product and customer-facing teams in a fast-moving Agile/Scrum environment.✅ What you bringEnterprise testing depth: Hands-on experience with complex web and enterprise applications, including a platform or tool with a drag-and-drop interface for end users.Disciplined test design: Equivalence partitioning, boundary-value analysis, decision tables, exploratory testing, risk-based testing, regression strategy and requirements traceability.Automation tooling: Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG or comparable frameworks.Data and APIs: Strong SQL and database testing; REST and/or SOAP API testing.Engineering workflow: Jira, Git and a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum.Communication: Excellent analytical, problem-solving and written communication skills.Hybrid in SF: Ability to work 3 days a week in San Francisco's Financial District.✅ Experience & educationDegree: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.4+ years: Professional software QA experience with enterprise applications.3+ years: In a startup or small company (fewer than 50 employees), where you wore multiple hats and owned outcomes.Nice to have: ISTQB or an equivalent software testing certification.🎁 Compensation & benefits💰 Base salary of $140,000 to $175,000, with a performance bonus tied to individual and company achievement.🏖️ Medical coverage with 100% employer-paid employee premium (PPO and HMO options), plus dental and vision.🩺 HSA and Flexible Spending Accounts, mental health & wellness support including an EAP.📈 401(k) with 100% employer match on the first 6% of contributions.🚀 Equity program (stock options / RSUs), subject to board approval and standard vesting.🎯 Paid time off accrued monthly, plus nine paid company holidays annually.
