Compensation provided for using, not obtaining, the rating.Branch Real Estate (BRE) is responsible for supporting the physical branch office needs through the coordination of leasing, construction, lease administration, and maintenance of more than 19,000 branch office locations in the US and Canada. Branch Real Estate performs these duties in a way to maximize value and minimize disruptions to our branch teams, allowing them to continue to focus on the needs of our clients.As the Senior Project Leader, you will lead construction and renovation projects across our branch real estate portfolio. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle—from planning through execution, monitoring & controlling, and closeout—ensuring delivery aligns with defined scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk objectives.You will serve as the central point of accountability, coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality built environments that meet business, operational, and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities Will IncludeProject Lifecycle & PlanningLead projects through all phases: planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and closingDevelop and maintain key project deliverables including project directory, meeting minutes, schedules, budgets, and resource plansDefine project scope, objectives, and success criteria aligned with stakeholder requirementsScope, Schedule & Cost ManagementManage and control project scope, schedule, and cost baselinesDevelop and maintain integrated master schedules and track progress against milestonesPrepare, review, and manage cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts Monitor expenditures, manage contingencies, and ensure financial performanceOversee and control change management processes, including change ordersStakeholder & Communication ManagementIdentify and coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including business partners, leasing teams, and design teams, and contractorsServe as the primary point of content for project communications and reportingLead project meetings and ensure clear documentation of decisions, risks, and actions Provide regular reporting on project performance, risks, and issue resolutionProcurement & Vendor ManagementLead procurement processes, including RFPs, bidding, contractor selection, and contract negotiation Manage general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycleProcure materials, equipment, and services required for project deliveryOversee contract compliance, performance, and deliverablesConstruction Execution & Field CoordinationCoordinate daily construction activities with contractors, architects, engineers, and field teamsMonitor on-site progress, productivity, and quality of workEnsure alignment between design intent and field executionMaintain oversight of site logistics, materials, and workforce coordinationRisk, Quality & Compliance ManagementIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including schedule, cost, and operational risksEnsure compliance with building codes, safety standards, permits, and environmental regulationsEnforce workplace safety practices and regulatory requirements Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet specificationsFinancial & Contract AdministrationReview, approve, and process pay applications, invoices, and contract changesTrack and manage budget performance, change orders, and financial reportingEnsure accurate financial reconciliation at project closeoutMonitoring, Reporting & CloseoutTrack project KPIs including schedule adherence, cost variance, and quality metricsManage issue resolution to minimize delays and cost overruns Conduct project closeout, including documentation, punch lists, and final inspectionsLead post-project evaluations and lessons learned to drive continuous improvementRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience managing commercial construction or renovation projectsStrong knowledge of construction project lifecycle, methodologies, and project management principlesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience with contract administration, procurement, and vendor managementWorking knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and safety regulationsPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent strongly preferredCertifications such as CCM, OSHA, or LEED are a plusExperience in corporate real estate, workplace, or enterprise environmentsExperience using construction/project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, BIM tools) Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026At Edward Jones, we are building a place where everyone feels like they belong.
