Material Handler (Union)

Job Description Location: South Gate, CASchedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00:AM - 3:30:PM (No weekends)Compensation: $19/hr to start; $21.50/hr upon hire with full union benefits and a pensionPosition OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and physically capable Material Handler / Record Center Specialist to support daily warehouse operations. This role involves continuous heavy lifting, movement, and organization of stored materials. Candidates must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and handling boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance.Work ScheduleMonday–Friday7:00:AM - 3:30:PM9‐hour shift including:One 30‐minute lunchTwo 15‐minute breaksNo weekend workResponsibilitiesProcess orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materialsLift and move boxes, read labels, and process incoming and outgoing ordersUse proprietary computer systems to track orders and locate boxesOperate handheld scannersClimb and balance on ladders as neededLift boxes weighing 20–30 lbs frequentlyLoad, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material‐handling equipmentLoad and shrink‐wrap pallets at ground level or on cartsLoad boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material‐handling aidsRequirementsBilingual Spanish strongly preferredAbility to perform heavy physical labor throughout the shiftComfortable with repetitive lifting, bending, twisting, and climbingStrong attention to detail and accuracyDependable, safety‐focused, and able to work independentlyCompany DescriptionSkySource Solutions believes in attaining success.
