QA Systems Coordinator

Quality Systems ManagerImplement and maintain the facility's quality systems, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the quality systems. Maintain FDA and state regulatory standards and ensure plant meets requirements for GFSI certification including food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.Essential FunctionsServe as the acting GFSI expert for the facilityMaintain the facility's GFSI certification, ensuring changes are reviewed and implemented as neededPartner with other departments to ensure compliance to regulatory and GFSI requirements; follow up to ensure identified non-conformances are adequately investigated and closed outPerform ongoing GFSI gap analysis for the facilityAssist with training to plant departments on GFSI standards and regulationsProvide guidance to the facility on regulatory issues for local, state, and federal agenciesCo-lead facility audits of the quality and food safety system in addition to program/facility audits, customer audits, and regulatory auditsMaintain the company's quality control, compliance, and assurance programs; maintain Quality Systems Manual for the facilityMonitor adherence to SOPs and GMPs; assist with the development and implementation of work instructions and assist with training employees to follow as neededSupport the plant's Environmental Monitoring ProgramAssist with the review of pre-op and production dataVerify production paperwork including CCP checks, label checks, weight checks, and others as requiredAssist with label verification checks as neededParticipate on the HACCP and Recall teamCo-lead monthly HACCP/food safety/quality meetingReview all HACCP documentation to ensure complianceReview the food safety plan as required when new raw ingredients, finished products, equipment, and/or processes changeAssist with customer complaint investigations as needed; provide trending on customer complaints and areas for improvement in the facilityAssist with shelf life studies as neededSupport the food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured productsPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)3 years of quality control experience in the food industry or bachelor's degree in a related field2+ years of SQF practitioner experience preferred or equivalent training and recognized aptitudeKnowledge of food safety programs and systems: GFSI training, SQF practitioner, and HACCP certification; PCQI training preferredProficient with Microsoft OfficeStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent skills in the areas of teamwork, motivation, decision making, relationship building, and coachingAbility to think critically and solve complex problemsAbility to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentCalifornia, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $82,200.00 annually. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
