Senior Process Utilities Engineer

Overview In this role you will lead the design and coordination of essential process utility systems for pharmaceutical and biotech operations, translating concepts into implementable solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare technical requirements, analyze standards, and guide design packages from concept to construction. Your expertise will influence project success through technical leadership in GMP environments and client-facing collaboration. Compensation / Benefitsovertime payprofit sharing bonusPTO and paid holidayshealth benefits (medical, dental, vision)401(k) with employer matchprofessional development and tuition reimbursement ResponsibilitiesPrepare Project Technical Requirements Specification for systems, aligning with client standardsResearch industry standards, conduct engineering studies, and develop process designsDevelop engineering specifications and project cost estimatesReview design team outputs, monitor progress, and flag scope changesCoordinate project documentation completion across disciplinesDirect CAD designers for construction drawingsInterpret/apply codes and liaise with authorities as neededCoordinate design with other engineering disciplines Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering; Professional Engineer license preferred8+ years in process design engineering for a broad project portfolio8+ years preparing/reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, equipment and piping specifications3+ years supporting Pharma/Biotech/Life Science projectssubject matter expertise in compressed air, clean utilities, GMP constructionexperience with FDA/EMA and regulatory standards; knowledge of cGMP and ASME BPEfamiliarity with ASME B31.3, NFPA codes, IBC, and process controls/automationexperience sizing pumps, control valves, meters, and piping systemsproficiency with engineering software: MS Office, AutoCADclient-facing communicationcross-functional collaborationtechnical leadershipPFDs and P&IDsGMP/compliance knowledgeASME BPE and B31.3
