DescriptionThe Global Process Engineering team seeks a Process Engineering Assistant to support critical operational tasks at our RAD1 facility in Antioch, Tennessee. Support the Engineering team by identifying, root causing, and resolving operational issues that impact customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This role directly addresses high-priority operational needs including customer complaints management, SOP development, time studies, and defect troubleshooting.Key job responsibilitiesCustomer & Ticket ManagementInvestigate and resolve customer complaints with urgencyManage 8D processes and ticket assignmentsDiagnose, route, and resolve customer tickets efficientlyWork with internal and external customers to identify and resolve inbound receive issuesProcess Documentation & ImprovementDraft and verify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Conduct and document process time studiesComplete process audits to ensure complianceReview and update SOPs as operational needs evolveOperational SupportProvide hands-on technical assistance to techniciansSupport department-level defect tracking and escalation processesCreate draft change management approval documentationAssist with testing new technologies and softwarePerformance & MetricsTrack and report labor hoursCollect metrics and product attributesMonitor area performance through tracking, reporting, and feedbackParticipate in Operational Excellence initiativesSafety & Workplace ManagementIdentify and address safety hazards within the work areaParticipate in safety initiativesMaintain clean and organized work areasA day in the lifeReview emailsCheck for assigned workReview tickets, provide updates and or chase stakeholders for updatesReview the inbound receive area to check for blockersSync with Operations and address any concerns/call-outsCollect time studiesConduct process auditsWrite SOPsAssist with operational problemsCollect and collate dataBasic Qualifications1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience1+ years of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) experienceHigh school or equivalentWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidaysCan lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reachWork 40 hours/week, and overtime as requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional serviceExperience working with computer systems and troubleshootingExperience supporting Windows, Mac and/or Linux operating systems in a corporate settingAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
