Lead Cloud Architect - Data Center & Cloud Engineering (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Cloud Architect - Data Center & Cloud Engineering (remote) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $200,000 – $250,000 annuallyResponsibilities Develop understanding of VA enterprise infrastructure, including cloud platforms and data centers Lead design and implementation of hybrid cloud architectures aligned with VA objectives Create and maintain architecture artifacts, engineering standards, and design documentation Conduct design reviews and validate technical infrastructure and cloud solutions Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, including hardware/software refreshes and migrationsQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture, data center engineering, or infrastructure leadership roles Deep expertise in hybrid cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or similar) Proficient in data center infrastructure (compute, storage, networking) Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders and teamsBenefits Fully remote position in the United States Opportunity to work with the Department of Veterans Affairs on impactful projects Engagement in multi-year modernization roadmaps Exposure to advanced engineering analysis techniques Collaborative environment with senior stakeholders and business teamsOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
