Program Coordinator

Founded in 1994, Teen Esteem (TE) educates, equips and empowers K-12 students , parents and educators throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Our team of speakers meets directly with students in schools and emphasizes the importance of self-respect and respect for others. TE's dynamic, interactive classroom presentations and school assemblies address current challenges students face in school and at home. Our message to kids and teens is that their value is based on WHO they are , not the choices they make. We emphasize that it is never too late to get their life back on track! POSITION SUMMARY This part-time position will be an integral part of a small, dynamic team. As a key connector at Teen Esteem, the Program Coordinator will work closely with educators, administrators and school counselors to maximize the impact of Teen Esteem throughout the Tri-Valley. The Program Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and strengthen TE's outreach within schools and throughout the community by promoting our programs and messaging. The position will assist in the development of new Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum and educational events for parents and caregivers. The highly relational Program Coordinator will be a master of organization, driven to take the initiative, excited to meet with educators in-person, adept at networking and passionate about the wellbeing of today's kids and teens. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES I. Coordinate & Schedule Classroom presentations Corporate lunch and learns Community workshops II. Tracking & Invoicing Track the historical growth and current impact statistics for Teen Esteem. Deliver post presentation summaries to educators. Invoice and follow up after the delivery of TE programs. III. Relationship Building Sustain and cultivate established relationships with educators, administrators and school counselors. Respond and open the door to new schools inquiring about the powerful programs provided by Teen Esteem. Recognize potential education champions for TE. Work alongside the Director of Speakers in recruitment of new speakers and planning our annual appreciation event to celebrate our speakers. Observe TE presentations and assemblies in schools. Assist and attend TE events as needed. IV. Research & Develop New Curriculum Research and stay current on relevant issues facing our youth. Work alongside Executive Director to update existing curriculum and develop new presentations and assemblies that address the needs and wellbeing of kids and teens. Adept at managing spreadsheets and scheduling - including forecasting. Experience creating and implementing programs and/or curriculum. Working knowledge or ability to learn software platforms such as Microsoft Office, Egnyte, Trello, Outlook, Slack, Google, Canva and Zoom. Education experience helpful. SKILLS & ABILITIES Passion for Teen Esteem's mission, vision and local community. Possess high relational/emotional intelligence and gifted in social settings. Ability to work as a team member building trust and credibility. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to adapt to change. WORKING CONDITIONS Hybrid work environment. Part-time employee status approximately 24 hours/week. Flexible hours: evenings and weekends will be required on rare occasions.
