We are currently seeking a Machine Operator in Appleton, WI .

Job Duties:
Operate a cage wire rolling machine to roll wire mesh for reinforced concrete manholes and pipe manufacturing.
Ensure attention to detail by reading and interpreting production shop drawings.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the machine at all times.
Demonstrate good math skills, including the ability to use a tape measure.
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on the wire machine as needed.
Apply knowledge of hydraulics to assist in machine operation and maintenance.
Understand general manufacturing processes.
Learn or apply skills in tack welding and torch use.
Operate or learn to operate a forklift and overhead cranes.
Collaborate closely with the Plant Supervisor to ensure production schedules are met.
Work Environment:
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures.
Work near moving machinery and equipment, including potential electrical hazards.
Work in confined spaces and noisy environments.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, walking, and climbing.
Carrying/lifting 10-40 pounds.
Squatting, crouching, kneeling, and bending.
Pushing/pulling and reaching above the shoulder.
Experience & Qualifications:
Experience or knowledge in hydraulics is required.
Willingness to learn and be trained.
Safety-minded approach to tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
Experience in the construction or building materials industry preferred but not required.
Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to stand for the entire shift.
